how to use the nlp(tm) technique of anchoring in poker

a short idea on how to use nlp(tm) anchoring in poker.

poker is a little like seduction. you have to seduce people to trust
you.

you have to lie so good, they believe you. they think you are telling
the truth.

i love poker, especially holdem, because the outcome is so measurable.
if you are good, you get money. if you should improve, you have a
financial interest in doing so.

now, how to use anchoring in poker? just one example:

when you show a hand, a really good hand like two aces, mark them with
an anchor, e.g. a tap on the table. a specific sound you make. a sudden
change in your body posture. something repeatable.

poker players are always searching for patterns in the behaviour of
others, so why not give them something to use, and induce the need for
a nlp training in their thinking? - )

seduce them to thinking that you, the neuro lingusitic programmer gave
away a tell.

maybe they are not getting it right away, so be a little obvious.

then, next time you are in the need of them believing you have a good
hand, trigger the anchor.

again, maybe be a little obvious.

simple. right? try it out. try some variations and let me know which
other applications you found for nlp anchoring in poker.

in the next entry, we will go into using pacing for nlp poker
seduction: - )

until soon!
