type='text'>how to use the nlp technique of "how-oriented"-ness and the nlp technique of well formed goals for your self management

you probably wrinckled your forehead when you saw the name of the nlp
technique i am going to expand on today.

let me explain: when a client comes to every other branch of therapy
and says "i am depressed", the therapist would answer: "why are you
depressed?".

not so in nlp: the classical question would be "how do you know you
are depressed?". if you do not know, lets just believe me that this
really changes a lot for start.

anyhow, so how do you apply this (and profit from doing so) to your
selfmanagement? well, by living what sean connery says in the movie
"the house of the sun": the japanese have the attitude that if there
is a problem, to find the solution and solve the problem first, and
only then to look for the guilty person. we spend our time with
looking for who to blame. i think their approach is better."

if you have a problem, start with the "how", not with the "why". that
of course only if you are on your track to reach your goals. but if
you are, religiously ask the question "how". it will bring you so
much further ahead than going in circles and whying this and whying
that.

now, the second part of this session is devoted to well formed goals
and what they mean for your selfmanagement. sometimes, there are
projects where you can only look as far ahead as to where your hand
is if you point your finger in a direction. projects in highly
volatile surroundings are a pain in the brain sometimes, and they are
a part of the daily reality of the entrepreneur, trainer or
entrepreneurial trainer. (and some others too).

so, by setting clear goals, and then going one step ahead and going
"ok, whats next", you can advance in an ever changing swamp of
possibilities. focus on the next possible, actionable thing that will
take you closer to your goal. SMART down your goals, if you need to.
SMART them further down if need be. and keep asking how. the why will
take care of itself with the SMART goals, keep poking wholes into the
realm of possibility.

until next time, and: keep evolving!

How to train your the nlp technique of milton patterns to use in every conversation

a few days ago, a friend asked if i knew a way for him to learn how
to use his milton patterns, but specifically in a subtile way, as he
realized that he was not yet, shall we say really subtile for now.

so i asked him to stop,

and just remember a time when he was in a situation, talking to
someone...

and asked him what he would need to be able to pratice his skills in
that situation...

and he said that he would need to be able to read them while talking
to the person (does that tell us somethinga bout his convincer meta
programs or what).

so i said: you have those milton cards, with a milton pattern on each
card, right?

yes, he said, and that he would feel odd to carry them with him and
pull them out while taking to someone.

i told him to put them next to his home phone, landline, and every
evening, to set the goal and do the drill call someone he needed to
call anyway, and use three different milton patterns in the
conversation.

easy. isnt it?

and, to be humble, i was quite stunned with the ease but coolness and
practicability of this out of thin air idea.

so please, bombard me with your ideas and requests for ideas, as i
have the feeling that there is a lot still there in my brain, waiting
to be pulled out on request.
<p correctly one
level higher. his style does take time to read though.

the only question left is of in which direction to lead your group you
are moderating. and how far.

this will be the topic of one of the next posts.

keep evolving!

the nlp technique of actually listening to people

have you noticed that a lot of people acutally do not really listen to
others?

the reason for that is that they are unintentivly downtime while
supposedly listening to you, working on something in their mind, while
they are half with you.

most people do not do this on purpose, they are just so much used to it
to not notice anymore.

especially with the skills of the nlp meta modell, really listening is
a great skill.

here are two ways to really get your head and ears out of things:

1.) make a list of all the things that emotionally negativly bug you
from the past, then go about to get rid of them. it is actually one of
the basic excercises in the Emotional Freedom Technique, but man was it
quiet in my head after doing this.

you, or at least i, only find out how many voices you hear once you go
about to get rid of some of them.

2.) go intentivly downtime without a goal, simply listening. if you
just shut up, go downtime and listen, you will find that there are a
lot of open loops in your other than conscious mind that just need to
be closed. once you get rid of those, you already make a leap forward.

mental property, mental piece and peace of mind. now, how is this
related to manipulation? of course, you can only manipulate if you
see/hear/feel what people are giving away communicationwise. the better
you see/hear/feel what they are giving away, the better rapport you can
build, and the better you can lead.

comments? welcome!

in one of the next posts, i will type='text'>How to use the nlp technique of anchoring to spice up your morning

recently, I found some anchors in my appartment.

they were hidden under a patina of everyday life, and i only realized
that they are there, because one day, i came out of the bathroom
totally awake and refreshed, even though it was after a 19 hour day and
i tend to get tired after 18 and a half.

i know i put them there, but did totally forget about them consciously.
yet still, they really still work, and work absolutly great.

i immediatly transfered one from its rigid position to "everytime i
touch a door knob", i.e. before a meeting with a client, before
entering a room, etc. of course, i programmed in some area where i do
not want it to work, e.g. my bedroom door knobs.

does this sound wired?

have you ever done something special on your couch, and next time you
sat there, you came to think about it again, or had the same sensations
again?

the same thing i did here with nlp anchors, spatially in this case.

just a quick update. in one of the next posts, i will talk about how to
use nlp anchoring at your workplace.

how to keep a great poker face using the nlp technique of self hypnosis

now that one is great. have you ever seen a demo of the unbendalbe arm,
or a hypnotist stapleing people on each other which are in a deep
trance?

basically to do this, you do the same.

of course, fast start would be a deep relaxation anchor you already
have. if not, do the following:

close your eyes. focus on your face. go into a trance. relax
eeeeeveeeryyyy siiingleeee muscle in your face deeeeeply....

go ahead and speak to them (yes, i am suggesting you speak with your
face): explain why you want them to stay as relaxed as possible for the
next x hours. explain in positive and negative terms why and what is in
it for them.

then tell them to relax as much as possible and only act when you want
them to, consciously, for the next few hours.

now you got a poker face, booooy. you will see the trained eyes of
players helplessly wandering over your face, trying to find a hint, a
tell, bursting into tears because they cant find nuffin there: - )

remember to set a time limit there, as you otherwise need to undo that
stasis manually.

one of the next entries will be about why gus hanson looks like in a
deep trance when playing in the top tournaments (and yes, that was type='text'>yet another way of how to use the NLP technique of anchoring in poker

tonight, when playing a game of standard poker with some friends, and
practicing some nlp techniques, basically looking for applications of
the lot like the NLP meta model, submodality work and - my absolut
favourite - timeline work (yes, in poker, and it is sooo much fun!!!),
i came up with some more uses of anchoring, one of which i will put
down now:

there are two kinds of general directions you can go, when deciding,
which emotions to anchor to a specific action: the good ones, and the
bad ones.

as there is so much out there on good anchors and good push yourself
forward til you drop over the cliff-anchors, here is another bad
anchor, put to good use:

you may know this from sight: when someone calls, you have to put your
cards down, to show what you have. now, you can of course put 2 cards
down to show what you have. what you create here is an open loop (see
advanced hypnosis techniques and e.g. Richard Bandlers DVD on "nested
loops"), because the competitor want to know what is in the other
cards. you have a lot of response potential, and a lot of control in
the way that you put the other 3 cards down, aside, hold them, play
with them etc.

now of course, best is when you have good cards still in your hand,
e.g. you put down a pair of 3s and you still have a pair of kings or
so. (and yes, i know about statistics, just for the example here).

you wait. you let the other put his cards down, and it doesnt matter if
he has the better cards, though it will work best if you overwin him
with the second part of your hand, after he thought he would have won.
here is how to establish the anchor:

he puts down his cards. he thinks he has won. he builds good emotions
up. now you create that anchor, e.g. by making a certain statement like
a well timed or well stressed "Well..." or "Aha..." or "That is what
you have..." or "Richard Bandler once won a R&D company in a poker
game, you knew that?" and put down your (superior) cards. what happens
now is that he good feeling collapses into a bad feeling for him, the
better the timing is, the better the anchor will work.

now, next time you are working a bluff, apart from putting your face in
hypnotic stasis, using NLP milton patterns aaaaaall the tiiiiime and
looking at/pacing the competitors breath to see when they speed up and
to pass time, when he goes like "yeah, i have a good hand", you go
"Well..." or "Aha..." or "That is what you have..." (do not go up here
with the voice inflection here, if you did not before- it is about
triggering the anchor, not about asking a question) and totally blow
away his confidence.

stay congruent while doing so, the stasis helps. you might also set an
anchor for confidence you trigger every time you have to look
confident... but that is a different entry.

one of the next entries will be about that one.

one more thing: in our work on the NLP meta program DVD project (How to
see and pace nlp meta programs. the secrets of Your fast and easy
application, we did a free report in which you can test your ability to
find meta programs in the word-by-word-transcript of interviews we did.
it can be found at

http://www.smscoach.com/sales/1article.htm

feedback welcome!

keep evolving!

how to use the nlp technique of pacing vakog to guide people into a trance and practice your nlp hypnosis abilities at the same time

now that is a headline: - )

well, how? as always, easy. i came up with this exercise, because a
former student of mine asked me about a way to practice his vakog
pacing ability without spending extra time.

for the sake of productivity, i cant make it no time though, you must
spend 2 minutes, at least. once.

here is the way to do it:

create an anchor that will remember you of the following very often. as
it should be really often, it may be something external, like a special
thing you take with you in your pocket (to feel it and remember
whenever you put your hand in) or something like putting a piece of
tape on your arm. tip: if you have a lot of hair, use a kind of band
you can remove easily. if not: i did warn you.)

the tape will annoy you any time you move your hand, so you will
remember all the time. there are a gozillion of ways to do this, these
are just two possible ways.

next, set the intention for, whenever you are in a conversation, to go
through the vakog circle, using each channel only once. e.g.:"i see.
did you hear about john? he kind of felt bad today. must have tasted
something bad yesterday. probably already smelled odd too."

do you see what i mean? some people say they get a much better feeling
for how to get the taste of this, when they poke their nose into a list
of vakog-specific predicates, before they are looking for victims.

you might get a sound quality if you do to. the more you do, the
sweeter it gets. kind of smells like roses after some time.

i know that when you take a look around, and listen to what people
around you are saying, you might get a slightly wired feeling, as they
might think what you are doing is tasteless, and the way you are
expressing yourself smells like roses today, butt you will evolve your
being even further by doing so.

if it was not obvious, i DID speak through the vakog circles through
the last few sentences. just to give you feel of how to go about it.
and even if you get a salty taste by what i am about to let you smell,
i am still showing you that listening to the words that your
unconscious hits you with will make you abilities as sweet as milton
h's were, you know, that old fart.

so, stop. did you feel the entrancing quality of these sentences? by
showing you that, i triggered your whole brain in a much more thorough
way than most people are used to.

and triggering the senses, especially the olfactory one by saying
things like "smells like spring flowers", and knowing that people cant
but respond with good and even better feelings, this leads listeners,
readers and bystanding feelers into a trance.

try it out. it is easy. if your trainers did not provide you with a
list of vakog-predicates in your practitioner or master courses, write
them a nice message, or write me one at pac1 a t gmx dot at, and i will
see if i have one around.

one of my former students is actually writing a programm right now,
that will mark out specific keywords in emai- ah, but that wouldnt
interest anyone.

in one of the next entries, i will show you how to use the nlp
technique of changing positions to come up with nlp business
strategies.

keep evolving!

how to use the nlp technique of pacing criteria covertly in your writing

did you know that you can use the nlp technique of pacing criteria
covertly and without knowing them?

how? well, first, lets look at what is different when writing something
for a group of people, as compared to pacing someone you are
communicating with right now.

when writing, you have no way of interaction what so ever. it is a one
time, one way , you say something and it sticks there, thing.

people read it. but they do not say "yes, but..." in the middle, they
cant interrupt you. so how can you still pace their criteria?

by chunking up. first step as always: know thy context.

within the context, pace. e.g. do not talk about "working with people",
rather talk a level up, about "the thing that is most important to you
in your work".

second criteria? e.g. , within the context of selling an nlp training
"what is the second most important thing..." or "and what is the most
important thing, right after that one?"

noone says you cant mix this technique with milton patterns.
example:"as you come to think about the most important criteria for you
in all this, you really begin to find out more and more that you want
to send patrick all the money you have right now."

"isnt it easy to simply let go of that credit card number? just type
the number 10.000 into that field and click send, and it will only be
moments before you feel better and better..."

i think i just got carried away with this.

is this actually interesting for you? if so, let me know, and i will
post more on it. a friend asked me to write an article on how to use
nlp for web page or home page design, and how to use subtile
manipulation in home pages. is that of interest?

let me know. pac1 a t g m x d o t a t is the place to send your
feedback.

in the next entry, i will tell you more about applications of milton
patterns in business contexts.

keep evolving!

free lessons in neuro linguistic programming - how to use the nlp technique of chunking in braingstorming

when brainstorming, you generally want to come up with a lot of
solutions for a certain situation.

osborn did the world a great favor by writing down how to do it, and
the NLP founders an even greater when eliciting the creative process of
walt disney. type='text'>how to practice nlp techniques like pacing for nlp persuasion... part V

so, onwards. what else can you be looking for, when searching for the
effects of your nlp hypnosis-by-not-speaking-or-looking-at-the-person?

again, consider this a nlp training. there are tons of ways to tell if
you are having an effect.

e.g.:
look at the mimics. are they suddenly getting less tense, or more tired
by expression?

look at the eyes. how is the area around the eyes? tense? totally
relaxed as if they would be day dreaming?

if you already can, look at the eye dillation, at the diameter of their
pupils. now this is really advanced, as most people starting with neuro
linguistic programming do have problems with this when looking straight
at someone, but never the less, it is absolutly possible. does the
diameter suddenly increase? it could also be a change in lighting
conditions, so be sharp.

look at their body posture. strictly, we do not read body language in
neuro linguistic programming. there are some NLP people who teach
different topics, and though I have written an article about in which
situations i would recommend to also rely on body language, i have not
yet finished my research in this field as to have an opinion I would
want to be as public as this blog.

there are also a number of nlp seduction products out there that talk
about body language, but I would not trust the professionality of some
of those.

in general, as a hint: look for congruent patterns. e.g.: if you are
trying to trance someone out, look not only at their body posture, but
at their breathing, their mimics, their facial expression, all of it.

that way you might find cues that help you.

how to use the nlp(tm) technique of anchoring in poker

a short idea on how to use nlp(tm) anchoring in poker.

poker is a little like seduction. you have to seduce people to trust
you.

you have to lie so good, they believe you. they think you are telling
the truth.

i love poker, especially holdem, because the outcome is so measurable.
if you are good, you get money. if you should improve, you have a
financial interest in doing so.

now, how to use anchoring in poker? just one example:

when you show a hand, a really good hand like two aces, mark them with
an anchor, e.g. a tap on the table. a specific sound you make. a sudden
change in your body posture. something repeatable.

poker players are always searching for patterns in the behaviour of
others, so why not give them something to use, and induce the need for
a nlp training in their thinking? - )

seduce them to thinking that you, the neuro lingusitic programmer gave
away a tell.

maybe they are not getting it right away, so be a little obvious.

then, next time you are in the need of them believing you have a good
hand, trigger the anchor.

again, maybe be a little obvious.

simple. right? try it out. try some variations and let me know which
other applications you found for nlp anchoring in poker.

in the next entry, we will go into using pacing for nlp poker
seduction: - )

until soon!

<img width='1' height='1' The name is not mentioned in
the article.

It is a good basic introduction (and it is free, hurray!).

though I have never met Robert B. how are you looking? use
Bandlers meta model or grinders clarity model to break it down. if you
are searching for "has fallen asleep" or "has not fallen asleep", think
again.

what else could you look at?

2.) change what you are doing to whome. yes, thats actually two there.
maybe find an easier target. like someone who looks like 10 nights
over. some investment banker e.g. . they always look like either too
little sleep or too much cafe.

2.a.) vary your approach. establish better rapport. cross mirror, so
they do not give you wired looks. check rapport. if good, go ahead, if
bad, improve. find breath-rhythm. pace rhythm. there are actually a
whole lot more things than e.g. body posture or breath that you can use
for pacing, very powerful techniques, but this would blow the frame of
this post.

the next post will be about what else to look for when looking for
effects of your nlp manipulation technique. consider this, by the way,
as a good nlp training. if you do what you read here, you will improve
your abilities in pnl (as the french say) 100folds.

until soon!

Using NLP hypnosis to become ambidextrous faster

I will continue the public-transport-pacing-mind-chain soon, here
something else:

http://traevoli.com/ambidex.php

is an interesting page about a guys way to becoming ambidextrous, i.e.
he can write or anything else with his left and with his right hand.

one of the most challenging things to learn when doing that is, as he
writes, learning to write.

one way to write is an old greek method where one write a line forward,
with the right hand, and then one line mirrored backwards, with the
left hand.

now, i am pretty sure it could take some time to learn that. how to
speed it up? easy: go to level, i would suggest at least alpha brain
wave, bring up your timeline, thank Mr. James for his somewhat not so
bad book, even though he did not come up with the concept himself, and
begin a visualisation of you, writing.

then, mirror that visalisation and transfer the VAKOG from the one side
of your body to the other. hypnotically manipulate, if you will, the
knowledge for writing in that style into your other body half, and when
you have it, go into time distortion and plant that experience in every
second of the last, say, twenty years.

as you do so, realize what you did learn by doing so, all the
learning... more and more... now... see you ability growing better and
better as time passes by... feel it growing better and better... hear
it growing better and better...

if you are trained in DHE(tm) (Design Human Engineering) or NHR(tm)
(Neuro Hypnotic Repatterning- both developments of Dr. Bandler)
ncNLP(tm) (new code NLP- here I mean specifically the somewhat new
hypnotic inductions by Dr.Grinder) or Mesmerism, apply all your
knowledge to this induction.

In short: Shot at it with all you have. Then install it into your
future, basic time line therapy process, even better would be the time
line process John LaValle usually teaches nowadays, as of fall 2005.

Doing so will improve your learning and shorten it by, conservativly
speaking, at least 50%. Probably a lot more, if you add in proper
visualisations.

Manipulation can be so much fun, especially when it is used to improve
yourself. Dr.Bandler once said in a seminar "And the guy said: You are
wired. And I said: HA, you have no idea how true that is."

This is how i see it too: Ambidextrousity may look wired to other
people, but as long as you do not bother their freedom with it, who
cares!

how to practice nlp techniques like pacing for nlp persuasion... part III

so, how to drop people you do not even know and never have met before into a trance while not talking to them in a public place where everyone can see and "catch" you, doing wired manipulation and hypnosis things to total stranger?

gush... i feel so motivated after that sentence, dont you?

i mean, lets face it: if you can do it there, in a matter of minutes, you probably will be able to do it everywhere.

but how? easy. just as every real good trainer will tell you (and there are a lot of bozos out there, trust me, i went to most): to drop someone into a good trance: go first!

so: set yourself a nice little deep trance anchor, also named "the nlp technique of chaining a 5 ton rock to your right leg, walk over to that cliff and hold it just where it doesnt yet fall over".

then: go into your public transport, sit down where you have spotted a victim and establish rapport, also named "handcuffing that poor fellow to your chain".

then: give that rock that little loony toons poke, so it falls over, and enjoy the ride.

notice if your new friend goes with you. there will be cues to see, but i do not mean eye accessing cues, meta programm accessing cues or submodality changes at this point. no real nlp techniques needed, apart from one: watching.

if his head slumps down in no time flat- write me how you did it.

if he starts to blink and suddenly looks really tired- very good!

if he starts to move to kind of wake up again *chain pulling him down* and yawns- stand up, walk over, shake his hand enthusiastically and say "sir, i just put you in a deep altered state by not touching, talking or looking at you, and i just wanted to thank you for letting me practice my manipulation tricks on you."

if nothing happens- T.O.T.E. you tested, nothing happened- whats next? operate!

more on this soon.

how to practice nlp techniques like pacing for persuasion... part II

So, back with more to come.

NLP Rapport is really about Pacing and Leading. Once you know how to pace someone through their reflection in the window, start trying to lead them.

But how am I gonna do that? Come on, start your cerebral engines: Once you have a good feeling of rapport, you just simply scratch your nose. or your ear. And then you wait for the correct time frame for the answer. (That time frame is scientifically proven, and can be learned in every real good nlp training. i personally recommend only a few people like Dr. Bandler or Dr. Grinder or John LaValle. If you wanna have my recommendation on your region of the world, I will be happy to help.)

Even more fun is it to create rapport and then drop them into a deeeeeeeep trance within several minutes.

More on how to do that soon.

how to practice NLP techniques like pacing for persuasion in every day like

Have you ever sat in the sub or bus and wondered how to use your time more profitably?

I mean yes, reading is fine, but there is so much there one can do, it is a whole training-ground in and of itself, why not use this great resource?

One great way is the following: You know how to pace, right? And you might have heard about the somewhat advanced technique of pacing the breath rhythm of your opposite.

Well, next time you wanna use this nlp technique to practice your nlp persuasion techniques, use the time you spend in public transport!

How? Simple! Look out of the window, and find the reflection of someone who sits close to you in the window. Look at them, but not in the eyes but at their shoulders, their belly, their chest (in a non-please-slap-me-lady-way) and practice seeing their breathing. look at how their shoulders move.

Even easier: Find someone who is talking. You can then hear and see when you are breathing in (though some people simple never breath in- i know, they always sit down next to me and get out their 3G phone and start a loud video call)

I will further elaborate on this in the next posts.

read u soon!
